At the Arizona Center for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery we understand that traveling for plastic surgery is an exciting yet quite a significant decision. Our team is dedicated to ensuring that your journey will be seamless, comfortable and with a minimal amount of stress, allowing you to focus most importantly on your transformation.
Dr. Turkeltaub is widely regarded for his extensive skills and experience in a variety of cosmetic procedures including breast augmentation, breast lifts, breast reductions, male breast reductions and tummy tucks. He is also a premier provider of gender-affirming top surgery including FTM, FTN , MTF with many of his transgender and gender nonbinary patients traveling from out-of-town to seek his expertise.
For the comfort and convenience of our patients, especially for those living outside of Arizona, we offer virtual consultations. This provides prospective patients the opportunity to meet with Dr. Turkeltaub, discuss treatment options and ask questions. From there, a customized care plan can be initiated based on each individual’s needs and goals though it will be ultimately finalized only after an in person visit.
Once your virtual consultation is complete and you have made the decision to proceed with surgery, our team will provide you with all the information needed and provide you with as much assistance as possible to make your help make your surgery a reality. This process will also involve a necessary and important in office visit and examination.
Our North Scottsdale office, located right off the Loop 101 (S.R. 101) at the Princess Dr./Pima exit, is very convenient for both our local and traveling patients. This provides easy highway access from both around the Greater Phoenix Metropolitan Area as well as from the rest of Arizona and outside the state. There is very easy access to and from Sky Harbor Airport.
If you need recommendations regarding accommodations, transportation, restaurants and things to do in the area during your visit, our friendly and knowledgeable team can assist you. Our office is situated near many convenient and affordable lodging and dining options. We can also help arrange pre- and postoperative assistance for those who are traveling by themselves.
We request that patients arrive in the Scottsdale area at least 2-3 days ahead of their scheduled surgery date. This allows us to set up an in-person visit where you can meet with Dr. Turkeltaub and the rest of your care team, review the details of your treatment plan, ask any remaining questions and discuss important postoperative care and recovery information.
To ensure your visit is as seamless and comfortable as possible, we can help coordinate with your hometown physician to complete certain preoperative steps in advance of your visit. Following your virtual consultation, our team will send you any necessary paperwork and order any preemptive labs or tests.
Surgery is typically performed on an outpatient basis, meaning that you can return to your local accommodations the same day. We generally recommend that you arrange to have a friend or family member travel with you but do require that you have someone staying with you for at least the first 24 hours after surgery. However, as needed, we also partner with local facilities that provide round the clock nursing care.
Your first postoperative appointment will generally take place two to three days after surgery. Depending on your specific procedure(s), the next follow up may be several days to a week or more later. At any time you have questions, we are absolutely available and you are encouraged to contact our office.
If you are traveling from within Arizona, depending on your procedure and other factors, you may be able to travel back home the same day or the next. Most all of our Tucson area patients are able to go back home the same day as do many who are from the Flagstaff area. For longer distances, staying overnight may be a prudent choice.
For patients traveling from out-of-state, generally remaining in the area for around one to two weeks is recommended though this does vary with such factors as the procedure(s) that you are undergoing.
Once you are cleared to return home, we can schedule virtual follow-up visits though one or more in office visits are recommended. Should any concerns arise that cannot be addressed virtually, our team can help you seek out a primary care physician or a plastic surgeon that is more local to you.
Dr. Turkeltaub and his team are always honored to be a part of a patient’s aesthetic care journey.
